High School Theater

Jim is the teacher of Theatre Arts at Lyons and, as the director of the Lyons’ Needs Theatre Company, he leads his classes through the challenges of theatre games, improvisation, and Shakespeare, leading to an annual festival of theatre skills. He is a member of the directorial team for the annual middle-school musical as well. This year Jim will also serve on the English team preparing students for Regents and PBATS. Jim has been working at Lyons since the doors first opened, teaching a wide variety of subjects and electives including world religions, comparative biology, art history, geography, the plays of August Wilson and the adventures of Gilgamesh.
