Elise Conklin

School-based Therapist, Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center

Elise is a school-based therapist from Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center. She is a licensed social worker (LMSW) and feels lucky to get to work with middle- and high school students from Lyons, as well as our downstairs neighbors at WHSAT and Brooklyn Latin.  Elise has been at Lyons since 2022, and prior to that, she worked with court-involved young people and families in Brooklyn through an alternative-to-incarceration program.  Elise cares about building supportive, caring relationships in therapy where students can find their strengths and continue to grow as whole people. Elise is also trained in trauma-specific and trauma-informed therapies, and she centers this approach in her work.  Elise holds a Bachelor of Science from NYU and a Masters of Social work from Hunter College. Elise also has a beautiful tuxedo cat named Violet and she would be happy to show you pictures.
