Dan Vitali

Work-Based Learning Coordinator & HS Math/Special Education

Dan is the person at Lyons who sets up internships, Career Readiness Education, and other Career-Connected Learning experiences for high school students.  Dan is the guy to talk to if you want: an internship, apprenticeship, Coop Tech job-training course, job-shadowing experience, work-site visit, or professional guest speaker.  Dan also teaches high school Math and Special Education.

Dan grew up in NYC and attended public schools from K to 12th grade.  He has a Bachelors Degree in International Relations from Brown University, and a Masters in Math Leadership from Bank Street College of Education.  He has taught elementary, middle school, and high school in the NYC public schools since 2001 and has taught a wide range of classes and subjects including math, construction and carpentry, business and baking, literature and history, Spanish, film, and jazz history, as well as special education support for all subjects.  He has NYS certification in Math, Special Education, and Work-Based Learning.
