Sarah Glover

11th Grade Social Studies

Sarah was born and raised in St. Croix,  USVI., but moved to North Carolina for high school. After completing college at UNC-Chapel Hill, she moved to New York to pursue a career in academics, beginning with a master's in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at NYU.  After completing her degree, however, she decided she was more interested in working on issues in her community than in being a professor.  In 2008, after a brief stint in community organizing, she decided to become a teacher instead.  Sarah is interested in how groups of people can bring about changes in society, and brings this interest to 11th grade social studies this year.  Outside of school, her interests are reading, travel, jewelry-making, and being a mom.
