Matt Batesky

12th Grade Social Studies

Matt Batesky teaches Participation in Government, Economics and Regents Prep Courses. Matt is also an academic advisor on the 12th grade team. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, Matt moved to New York City from Wisconsin in 2004 to become a New York City Teaching
Fellow. In 2008 Matt graduated from Long Island University, earning a Master’s of Education degree.

This is Matt’s second year at Lyons after teaching for six years at two other Brooklyn schools. When Matt isn’t teaching he enjoys coaching football, cooking, camping, and photography. Matt also serves as the advisor for the Stock Market Game for Lyons.
