Lincoln Smith

9th Grade CTT

Lincoln has taught a wide range of subjects in a wide range of contexts. From ELL instruction to Tibetan monks in India, to accredited Swing Dance courses at Oberlin College (his Alma-mater) - from middle school Mathematics in Micronesia to high school Philosophy in Ottawa, Canada. He came to Lyons Community School, and Brooklyn, in September of 2009. He loves the Lyons philosophy towards teaching and learning, and is humbled and excited to be able to spend another year teaching at the school.

Apart from teaching, Lincoln is an avid soccer player (goalkeeper), unabashed fan of musicals, and lover of card games. He also likes curling, hockey, ultimate frisbee, and dance.

Lincoln holds a B.Ed. from the University of Ottawa and  a M.S.Ed. from Long Island University.
