Kasi Addison

10th Grade ELA

After covering schools as part of her job for a New Jersey newspaper, Kasi decided it was time to be in the classroom with students instead of writing about them. It was a good decision.

Since being welcomed into the Lyons’ Community in 2009, she’s co-taught ELA, Science, History and Math as well as an assortment of electives that have allowed her to explore the city with her students. Her most recent role is as the 12th Grade ELA teacher and college counselor.

In her spare time you’ll find Kasi dancing somewhere (hallways, living rooms, studios); reading a good book; and traveling around the world to see friends and family.

Kasi holds an A.B. degree from Princeton, studied journalism at Syracuse University and education at Long Island University in Brooklyn.
