10th Grade Science Alana is a Flint, Michigan native and graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in zoology. Her background in zoology has allowed her to work with wildlife from Ghana to the Bronx. Alana is currently teaching her third year of living environment at Lyons. Alana emphasizes the following in her class: Foster community- At Lyons, our name implies that we function as a community, this means that we support each other, respect each other, take responsibility for each other’s actions, we try to understand each other and work together for each other’s continued success. Dedication to Learning- We all have a job here at Lyons, my job is to grow with you as we learn together about the world around us, and your job is to be able to ask and explore questions in a safe and positive environment.
