Teams of 8th graders all created marble runs to study the effects of gravity.  Their goal: to have the marble get to the bottom in the longest amount of time possible.  The winners' marble took 48 seconds to travel a vertical distance of 45 centimeters.

On January 25th, 26th and 27th the 7th and 8th graders finished their Field Studies quarters by presenting their final projects to each other.

On the last day of the semester students in the Lyons' Needs Theater Company performed their chosen Shakespearean Sonnet in front of an audience. 

For the final MAP class of the semester, the Art History class displayed some of the art work they had created over the semester.

On Saturday, January 21st, despite the snowstorm, close to 60 6th and 7th grade families came to the CFY Family Workshop to learn about the desktop computers families took home at the end of the morning.  

On Wednesday, January 18th, families and students came together to talk financial support for college.  

Our initial band meeting happened during lunch on January 12th.  Students interested in learning to play or improving their play are going to be improving their skills each week.

In addition to a tremendous showing from our team of student choreographers, we had some other performers at our semi-annual Talent Sharing. 

In December 2011, members of our senior class went to the UN to talk to delegates about the importance of sustainability.
