THE LIBRARIES ARE CLOSED.
MY CHILD NEEDS BOOKS TO READ!  WHAT NOW?

If students did not bring their independent reading books home, they can access free eBooks from the Brooklyn Public Library:
    1. Register for an ecard here: https://disc.bklynlibrary.org/ecard/ (Students must be at least 13 to create an account, so input birth year as 2006 or earlier.)
    2. Go to: https://brooklyn.overdrive.com/
    3. To sign in, you will use your library card number (in the ecard confirmation email) and the pin number that you chose while registering.
    4. Explore the site and borrow an ebook! Click on "Teens" for YA books, and "Kids" for Middle Grade books. You can even sort by genre, grade, or lexile level on the left. After borrowing, read your ebook for free with Amazon Kindle online or the Libby app on your phone. Please email with any questions about this, or for recommendations of available books! There are tons of good ones :)
